Young (Hyeyoung) Maeng is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores hybrid studio practices at the intersection of artificial intelligence, expanded painting, and multimedia installation. By integrating AI-generated imagery with traditional Korean ink, contemporary painting, and socially engaged projects, her practice examines questions of non-human agency, technology-driven ethics, and image-making beyond anthropocentric frameworks.

Her research-driven practice incorporates collaborative digital frameworks—utilizing AI tools, Unreal Engine, and experimental video—to challenge traditional boundaries of artistic creation and foster collective engagement.
