Macarena Rioseco was born in Santiago Chile in 1981. She studied a MA at the Cambridge School or Arts, Anglia Ruskin University (2012 - 2013) and has just completed her PhD at Lancaster University (2014 - 2018). She leads her work as a practice-based research and works principally with abstract painting. She has held a number of significant teaching posts as associate lecturer at Universities in Chile and Lancaster University. She has exhibited work internationally at galleries and at academic conferences. Her most recent presentations were at the 9th and 10th International Deleuze Studies Conferences, 2016, Rome and 2017, Toronto.
