Maurizio Limongelli
was born in Paduli (BN), a small town in the Sannio hills on 2 March 1967 by an artisan family. He moved to Naples with his family where he matured his educational and academic experience first graduating from the Art School, and then earning a degree in Architecture.
The fervent Neapolitan artistic environment stimulates the need for a continuous search for the representation of the "human" intimacy in all the most varied themes of human existence in the contemporary artistic-historical scenarious which soon takes the form of participation in some thematic exhibitions, both collective and personal. At the end of the year 2000 he moved to Milan, to live new artistic experiences and continue his research in a new cultural and social context. As part of his work as an architect, he casually encounters teaching and young people. In this period the inner torment is getting stronger, and the need for a profound spiritual revision is making its way, which finds its path in the Franciscan Way.
Religious and philosophical studies, frequent collaborations with the Franciscan world, have given rise to an artistic feeling, to a research founded entirely on man, with all his essence, on his "existence" in the world. The existential sphere, the interest in the natural and urban landscape, urban pollution and ideological confusion, are the presuppositions that feed this research, aimed at guiding man in his activities in a "spiritual dimension" now lost in time .
Among the group and personal exhibitions I can mention:
-Group exhibition "FormeDarte" Venice 2013, GalleriaArt
-Paduli Jazz-Art 2016, extemporaneous competition and exhibition at the Doge's Palace
