I am a visual
artist coming from a world of words and nomadic way of life.
So naturally I
first centered my
work on paper and cardboard. Adding found objects as threads, clothes of any sort, the cardboard
was burnt, stitched, painted, tattooed, using a mix of different ethnic
techniques such as the one found in aboriginal art.
This part of my work fosters the symbolic questioning that I am fond of. The theme that I try to approach in all my work is resilience.
Then work on paper as a "skin" led me to volumes that enjoy
nature and the print of time.
The sculpture is
made of wire mesh, recycled plastic, ropes,… lace or stockings. She is placed
at a certain height, in a certain way in search of those lost worlds of which
we bear traces. I look, without impatience but in the urgency of the day, the
signs that put me in motion with the material. I have always had
a nomadic spirit and pen, probably this is the reason why I receive this work
as an extension of the journey that had until then made me concentrate on
cardboard and paper as an almost exclusive playground.
I am tempted by the
incompleteness which pushes to create, to welcome the accidents and moments of
stupor which generate the unexpected turns in creation.
I am fascinated by
the aboriginal art, Arte povera, the refinement of japanese minimalism (kintsugi as well) and the
unrivaled strength of primitive art.
For 2021, I am selected in Lucca Biennale OFF and last september I took part in "Paréidolie" in Marseilles (in Atelier
Oxymore). 2019 : Tbilissi Art Fair, Paris (Carrousel du Louvre) and La Ciotat.
At the moment, I work most of the time in south of
France, thanks to lockdown season...
