Read MoreJesús Leguizamo born in the city of Pamplona located in eastern Colombia in 1975. In his adolescence he lived in several places since his father was a member of the military forces. This allowed him and his family moved for different regions of country. As a child at school he felt a great interest in artistic creation and later in his adolescence grew the interest for painting and cinema. He studied fine arts at the National University of Colombia and deepens his studies in painting. His most important research is about the portrait of unknown family members. He takes photographs of the family album and alters them in the picture, in the work of this stage the theme of memory and oblivion is present. As a complement to his career he works as an art director for films and shorts, where he lets see his passion for the visual part in the creation of a movie.He has been present in collective exhibitions, stands out for his participation at the "40 Salon National " (FUGA) Bogotá; "NordArt" The Kunstwerk Carlshütte in Germany; "The Seven Deadly Sin "; at The Unit Gallery; "There and Now ", at Leontia Gallery; “Mark-Making", at the Saatchiart Gallery, Sta. Monica. Leguizamo's paintings have been presented in the online and printed press and and his work is in different public and private collections.He lives and works currently in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.
