Automatic Midnight

After a trip to Berlin in 2019, Lennard Kruithof returned to The Hague brimming with inspiration. Immersed in the city's vibrant visual tapestry, he recognized that what we perceive is just a frozen moment in the ongoing evolution of art, perpetually shifting and adapting.

Enthralled by the notion that beneath the surface of any visible image lies a trove of concealed artworks, Lennard grapples with the intriguing question of when artistic creation should cease. This contemplation sparks a fresh perspective on the nature of imagery, prompting reflections on its journey through time and imbuing it with newfound depth and significance.

Following his studies in Graphic Design in Rotterdam, Lennard embarked on a two-decade-long journey as the proprietor of his own design agency, catering to a diverse array of clients. Simultaneously, his passion for music led him to serve as a songwriter and musician in several bands, a pursuit that resonates deeply with his artistic endeavors. Rejecting passive observation, Lennard's work emphasizes the intrinsic connection between rhythm and emotion.

His artistic expression manifests in a raw, unrefined aesthetic, characterized by impulsive experimentation with an array of materials.
