TakT is the name of the collaboration between science artists: Adele Tilouine and Tyler Kaufman. Together, they create audio-visual experiences that incorporate scientific data and theory into artistic expression. TakT imbues a wide range of scientific disciplines and technological innovation to explore the nexus between intellectual construction and artistic interpretation.
ABOUT TAKT:
Since 2019, Adèle Tilouine and Tyler Kaufman have collaborated together as “Science Artists”, crossing the boundaries of science, technology and art through visual and auditory artistic experiences.
Their format of expression have included art installations, multi-sensory digital art, live shows and even a science art festival.
Their multidisciplinary artistic endeavors delve into the connection between humanity and its environment, bridging the realms of imagination and science.
TakT collaborates with scientific laboratories and companies worldwide, leveraging original scientific material, which they imbue with poetic essence through their artistic experiments. In their collaboration, TakT takes multiple scientific theories and data out of their context to recontextualize, poeticize and transform them into artistic experiences.
TakT also performs live science art shows all over the world where they mix scientific imagery with original compositions and science talks. Tyler Kaufman performs live electric sitar, guitar, vocals in a style of cinematic electronica, all without ever bringing a computer on stage. Adèle Tilouine offers a live V jing performance in which she uses real scientific imagery and mixes it with an artistic narrative.
