Jerome Chia-Horng Lin is a surrealist who
uses interdisciplinary practices such as 3D digital tools and oil
paintings to roam between the spiritual cosmos and the material world. Over
time, his mind soars above the sky while the harsh reality grounds him in
mundane life.
In daily life, he is currently a lecturer in the Dept. of Visual
Communication Design at Chaoyang University of Technology in Taiwan. He has had solid training
in Fine-Arts since high school, and he further nurtured his education with an
MFA in Computer Graphics and Interactive Media, which he received from Pratt
Institute, in Brooklyn, New York.
In the spiritual realm, he manages to obtain international exposure
by winning numerous awards including the Award Winner of Video Art from It’s
liquid international contest in Venice.
His animations and oil paintings have been selected and exhibited in film
festivals and exhibitions in the US, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Hungry, Spain,
Peru, Mexico, Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and other places.
Art allows him to experience his spiritual journey in the flesh with
all kinds of desires, longing for love, fame and wealth while deep in his heart
knowing all of these are like thunder in the clouds, lasting only for a brief
moment.
