"As a child , the colours have always flowed through my fingers."Little Sohayla' s imagination overpowered her so much that she got more and more afraid of the dark because she would see wolves in the dark' s floaters(called eye floaters). She thought of drawing them ,but they were too detailed for her to capture mind images of. Not only did she draw what pleasured her and what scared her, but she also made shapes out of everything at a very young age."I remember I used to sort the colour pencils from lightest to darkest then tape the closer colours by the hexagonal flat edge until I built pyramids and cubes." Days passed as Sohayla realised the closeness of art and its meaning to her. Amidst travelling almost all of her life, art has kept itself intact in her mind."I remember I would decorate my academic certificates and my bedroom wall then I had to constantly relocate ...taking everything along!" Over the course of middle school,Sohayla mostly worked with abstract styles so much that her friends asked for her paintings as gifts, but thinking of themes for abstract styles became increasingly hard to couple with strong academic performance ,so she went on to work with realistic styles . ''I even made an instagram page named ihabsohaila , that isn't very active now, with the profile picture being the first realistic pen drawing I worked on 5 years ago'' At that time, the only sculptures she worked on were small polymer clay/paper ones.Sohayla travelled to Egypt to start highschool in the British education system (GCE) where she studied Art and Design and got a diploma in it as well. All was done whilst studying college level sciences and languages. Still, she never stopped working and started to reincorporate abstract shapes and colour palettes in realistic drawings."When I didn't have enough time for a new piece, I tested new techniques and colour palettes in a sketchbook that I call: an experiment sheet. Now,I no longer use realistic colours for portraiture ." Last year, she managed to work with wood and copper wire in preparation for a new art page on BBuzzart which didn't last more than 4 months due to the overload of schoolwork, exams and other skills she needed to acquire for the workplace. Over the last 8 months, Sohayla has been working with software like AutoCad, AutoDesk and Rhinoceros in hopes that she could major in Architecture. She now plans to make the 4 month art page an annual event.''Finally, Art is the creation of a life outside the artist's mind . When they look at the world's curves and lines, they forget to see the negative spaces. Picasso once quoted, Van Gogh did, O'Keefe ...etc and all artists will just as long as they CREATE. Everyone has the adaptability to think , but only an artist can CREATE .
