Kaithya Huc was born in the south of France. She obtain a Master's degree in Art History and Visual Arts in 2006 and another in Colour, Image and Design in 2007.
Her works are exhibited in Europe, United States, Africa and included in private and public collections in France, United States, Switzerland, Nigeria, Germany, Italy.
Kaithya H was the victim of an accident on the eve of her 18th birthday that almost cost her her life. Throughout her life, she suffered intense pain that she learned to control, giving her a great spirit and compassion for all living things. This will enable her to put man, strong and fragile at the same time, face to face with the immensity of nature.
KH's work is inspired by the German Romantics, Caspar Friedrich, the naturalism of Edouard Hopper and William Turner, as well as ancestral Chinese painting and Japanese sumi-e.
She is fascinated by the wilderness where man sometimes appears or leaves just a trace of his existence. She is particularly fond of colour, and likes to weave coloured networks across the surface of her canvases, even playing with blacks and whites and favouring contrasts of opacity and transparency. Far from simple realism, it is her intuition of the energy of nature that shines through like a poetic hallucination.
She works with contemporary techniques and has recently returned to making her paintings and mediums in a very personal way, mixing ancestral Western techniques from the 1st to the 17th centuries, with ancestral Chinese and Japanese painting techniques with her own personal style.
