Velmar Ulises Hernández González
Self-taught artist born in Mexico City. I currently live in
Ecatepec, State of Mexico. My language has been oriented more towards
surrealism, realism or fantasy. I try to generate concepts oriented towards
ideas that combine traditional pictorial techniques, with surrealistic and
realistic ideas. I studied Industrial Design at Universidad Autónoma
Metropolitana, Unidad Azcapotzalco (UAM-A). I have participated in workshop
meetings and art exhibitions, such as the exhibition "Pets" by
Adriana Maar (2017); the collective plastic intervention of a mural, for the
"Primer Festival de las Jacarandas" at UAM Azcapotzalco (2018); the
exhibition "Chulo multiverso", by 22 albures community (2019); the
project "Healing Blanket" -Patchwork Healing Blanket 2020-, carried
out in the Zócalo, in Mexico City. I have also participated in the artistic intervention
of the mural #EstoEsCodexTornel, in the house of Culture of the time, from Universidad
Autónoma Metropolitana -also in 2020. I also participated in an international
exhibition at Universidad Ibagué, in Colombia, in 2021. Finally, I participated
in the LXII Annual Competition for watercolour amateurs, with the theme
"La Paz", at Museo Nacional de la Acuarela (MUNACUA), and in the
exhibition "Jardín de arte", held at Universidad Autónoma
Metropolitana, Unidad Xochimilco, in 2022.
