Joanna Magdalena Grabowiecka

I have been painting since I was little. My collages and paintings are born from a love for nature, symbols of life, and emotions. Synergy, passion, and mystery are the key words of my art. Combining snippets of reality with seemingly incompatible elements or illustrations can be a fascinating creative process, bringing to life worlds that reflect innermost dreams and thoughts.

I often hear about my art that it is… sensual, i.e. that it affects the senses, and that with each subsequent look at the painting or collage of the recipient, new meanings appear, hidden, coded messages reach them, which lead like a thread to a ball, to the goal, i.e. to surprising conclusions, personal discoveries and delights.

HERE IS MY OFFICIAL BIO: I graduated in performing arts from Paris VIII University and in theater studies from Jagiellonian University. I also studied scenography and theatrical decoration for a year in Paris (A.D.A.C.) under the direction of stage designer and great artist Daniel Louradour. Additionally, I received private lessons in drawing and painting in France and Poland. I studied directing at the Theatrical Academy in Warsaw and obtained a diploma for the play „Acacia and Cinnamon. Montages” at the Jewish Theater in Warsaw (2012). In 2016, I graduated from the MERITUM Trainers School in Katowice.”
