Everyone perceives life in their own way.
What my eyes see is not an exact reproduction of the outside world, but an interpretation influenced through the filter of my emotions. Each photo reflects not what is but what I feel. I strive, deep within me, to capture the beauty of scenes of life in motion, often captured through tears of rain that adds drama and intensity to simple moments. Parentheses of fragile beauty, like the expression of a final breath of light before eternal rest.
All the effects are produced at the time of shooting to alter, distort, blur, pixelate and thus disrupt reality in photos, with an impressionist appearance, printed on textured art paper.
Sophie Moisan is a photographer born in Paris. She is currently resident in Paris and Ivry-sur-Seine in Val-de-Marne. From her childhood, she was captivated by the profession of her mother, a photographer reporter, who had set up her photo laboratory at her home. The moments spent with her developing photos under the soft red light remain unforgettable moments for Sophie, magical memories. From the age of seven, Sophie wanted to do like her mother with a simple “soap box” device. His very first image, although unflattering, was imbued with a certain conceptuality. Sophie immortalized the poop of her uncle's dog. Subsequently, she perfected her skills at the École Supérieure de Créations Audiovisuelles (ESRA), before turning to the advertising sector as a designer-editor at RSCG Havas and Dassas Jaglin, and later as a screenwriter for France Télévisions . And then, a life-changing event brought her back to her first passion: photography.
