Originally from London, my
lifelong journey has been fuelled by a deep passion for art, community, and
diverse cultures. As a primarily self-taught sculptor, I've refined my craft
through the sculpture workshop programs at the Florence Academy of Art. My artistic
mission is to reshape narratives and challenge perceptions through the
transformative medium of sculpture.
I specialise in fine art that
celebrates inspirational figures from underrepresented communities,
particularly people of colour, with the aim of challenging stereotypes and
fostering empathy. Additionally, I create sculptures of animals in their
natural habitats to underscore the importance of respecting our planet and its
inhabitants. My work is crafted to be accessible to the visually impaired,
ensuring that these stories can be experienced by all. Using recycled clay,
each piece reflects my dedication to sustainability in art.
My sculpture Pathfinder of Liberty was selected for the Chianciano Biennale
2024, and Spirito Italiano was a
finalist in the Art Unlimited International Open Art Competition 2024. Both Spirito Italiano and Tread Lightly were chosen for
publication in issue #6 of the Visual Art Journal, set to be released in August
2024.
