As HA.NDS (Max Girardi), I create multidisciplinary eco-art that confronts the brutal collision between human society and a collapsing environment. Working across painting, reimagined classical statues, digital drawings, and video, my pieces depict dystopian worlds where nature claws back from toxicity—muted earth tones clashing with unnatural digital glitches, eroded forms, and poisoned horizons.
The human figures are survivors: often resigned or complicit in the ruin, sometimes quietly hopeful and defiant. It's dark and unflinching—no illusions about the climate crisis or societal inertia—but I refuse total despair. I believe fiercely in the emerging generations and those yet to come; they carry the real potential for change.
My art isn't just warning—it's a mirror, a provocation, and a fragile thread of optimism.
Through every medium, I ask: what will we choose before it's too late?
