Alejandro Gadea was born in Montevideo in 1963. He began his path in painting very early. At the beginning of the 70s, his family emigrated and settled in Valencia / Venezuela, where he maintained his proximity to art thanks to the close link he established with consacrated local artists. On his return to Uruguay in the 80s he studied with the artist Juan Storm and was part of the group of gatherings headed by the painter Manuel Espínola Gómez that influenced him significantly. Thus continues a deep investigation through drawing, painting and sculpture in the development of a personal plastic language.
In 2018 he moves to Spain and carries out his artistic activity and research and teaching on contemporary painting in the Marina Alta region, Province Alicante
