I'm Marcella Foccardi and I live in Milan, Italy.
I have been working as a photogrpaher since 13 years. I begun while I was studying photography as photoreporter in a little agency that covered all the news in the city. It was my first and very electrifying experience in the field with other photographers older than me who taught me how to behave and respect everyone's job.
After this period I started to shoot for the model agencies, for my actor/actress friends and in the theater during rehearsals. There I understood that kind of photography was my passion. Today I'd like very much a certain kind of fashion, mixed with landscapes: it reminds me a pièce staged in theater where the persons are all dressed up showing a particular mood or a feeling narrating a story.
During these years of work, I developed a deep interest in collages. I used photoshop to mix paintings, sculptures, text or photographs so to create something compleatly new. I begun to do it as a hobby, then it became a way to stay calm and to relax myself and then I started to make some little exhibitions. I use all the
materials that the big museums of the world put in public domain in order that I create my collages. They are for me a terapeutic way to express what I'm not able to express in words. Sometimes they come immediatly in my mind, sometimes after a chat with a friend or visiting a show or after something happened.
