Ekart is a
pseudonym, not my real name. I wanted to break away from my previous life so as
not to have mental obstacles. To be born new, with only the inheritance of
creative experiences, useful for human and artistic growth.
I did not
study in an art school, I graduated as a surveyor. I have been an interior
decorator for about seven years and a photographer for about ten.
I studied
art alone because it has always been a pulsating attraction, to which I love to
succumb. The pandemic shook me, revealing a creative urgency: in a year and a
half I physically created various works, pictorial and otherwise.
To define
ourselves as artists today is to say nothing. It has become so easy to show
anything, that one can easily mistake a set of colors for art.
Instead, I
find that we must have a role, a communication, not just amaze.
I am
passionate about telling what is outside of me, just as I welcome it in me.
I draw,
paint, photograph, create installations. And I let my spirit choose the medium.
I have learned to use some materials and continue to try others that can
translate my intentions.
But above
all: I can't stop.
