Nina Dillenz graduated with a Master’s degree in theatre, film and media studies before shifting her base from Vienna's independent scene to Beijing where she focuses on live visuals, backdrop design, performance- and crossover art. Her style is characterized by multi-layered, psychedelic features and elements from nature. Recent projects and recurring collaborations include music videos and visuals for the Spittoon collective, Anthony Tao & Liane Halton's poetry x music project, and techno club Lantern's bimonthly event Blackout. Her writing has been featured by Spittoon, Shaving in the Dark and Austria’s Diagonale Film Festival. Her photography has appeared on supchina and her series “Animated Analogues” was displayed at the international artists’ show at the Gobi Heaven Festival 2019, where she also made two videos for German artist Crow that have been exhibited in galleries and embassies in China and Europe. In 2018 she directed the multimedia performance Empty Spaces – Bachmann x Kane as part of the Mortgaged Time exhibition at Red Gate Gallery and was the dramaturg for the scenic reading Water and Fire at Penghao Theatre.
Currently Nina Dillenz is working on a music video for French musician Djang San and a few short film projects.
