Cinzia Delorenzi

Artist, performer

For over twenty years I have been researching in the dance field, body and study of somatic techniques, developing a practice and a pedagogical approach oriented towards the process of transformation of the artist and the person. 

In parallel with my professional history as a dancer,  performer and choreographer,  for the last ten years I have developed an artistic research, both alone and for pedagogical reason, through retreats in nature, in the woods, in water environments and in the desert, using an interdisciplinary approach open and nourished by artistic investigation. 

 The theme of corporeality and the inner path are central, both lived through the background of sensitivity and of perceptive faculty in relation to the environment and ritualized through creation

 I accompany my research with  video and environmental audio recordings to produce sound and vocal landscapes. 

I proceed in my research trough questions, placing the body as a medium in its environment, in a process of re-connection and transformation by listening to the living.

 I look for the subtle perception of what we call the Anima Mundi, a sense of belonging  and coexistence of different living beings and systems.

Since 2016 Semira Belkhir has been supporting me as a videomaker in my artistic research in nature.
