“Over the past 3 decades, under the alias of Tony D'Amico*DNTT*, I have been actively producing and displaying large and small scale sculptures (from scrap metals, salvaged and found materials) around the world. In common with Cirque Archaos and DNTT (of which I was a core member) and Block 9, three of the creative collectives I have worked with during this period, as well as collaborating on large scale projects with The Mutoid Waste Company, Artcore International Block 9 and Pest Control. Based between Brixton London and Northern Portugal, I run a workshop/studio in both locations”.
“My sculptures attempt to create a new aesthetic from the detritus of modern society, forged using low level industrial techniques. The environment, ecology, the paradox of humanity and inclusion/equality are paramount elements to the ethic of my work and act as a constant inspiration to the context of my practice.
