The AFEDIA collective was born in
L'Aquila in 2019, from the synergy of Alessandra Condello,
photographer and Art director, and Diletta de Santis, actress,
performer and creative mind, around which other collaborating artists
revolve, mainly for the creation of photographs, videos , and
Installations/Performance.
Among their works we mention the short
Euridice, winner of the 2019 Sharky award in L'Aquila, the video
Quarantine, made during the lockdown and winner of the openly award
in Pescina (AQ) in 2021, various participations in the initiatives of
the municipality of L'Aquila and Fontecchio, and the photo Ex OP,
which Arrives as a finalist in the competition A place for Zerobook,
in 2020, publishing house in Catania.
In 2022 they exhibit at the YAG/Garage
in Pescara with two photos that are representative of 10 artists from
the contemporary Abruzzo artistic school, and they participate in the
same year at the Nomadic Art Festival in Ferentino (FR) with a
performance and a site-specific installation.
Their fascination is for natural or
abandoned places, for collective and personal abandonment, for the
relationship between the self and place in its uncanny dimension; a
world they bring back to life With photographs, videos and
installations, with an eye to local traditions and folklore.

Il collettivo AFEDIA nasce a L'Aquila nel 2019,
dalla sinergia di Alessandra Condello, fotografa eArt director, e di Diletta de
Santis, attrice, performer e mente creativa, attorno alle quali ruotano altri
Artisti collaboratori, principalmente per la realizzazione di fotografie,
video, e Installazioni/performance.
Tra le loro opere ricordiamo il corto Euridice, vincitore
del premio Sharky 2019 a L’Aquila, il video Quarantine, realizzato durante il
lockdown e vincitore del premio apertamente a Pescina (AQ) nel 2021, varie
partecipazioni alle iniziative del comune di L’Aquila e Fontecchio, e la foto
Ex OP, che Arriva finalista al concorso Un luogo per Zerobook, nel 2020, casa
editrice di Catania.
Nel 2022 espongono alla YAG/Garage di Pescara con due foto
risultate rappresentative tra 10 artisti della scuola artistica Abruzzese
contemporanea, e partecipano nello stesso anno al Festival dell’arte Nomadica a
Ferentino (FR) con una performance e una installazione site-specific.
La loro fascinazione è per i luoghi naturali o abbandonati,
per l’abbandono collettivo e personale, Per il rapporto tra l'io e
luogo nella sua dimensione perturbante; un mondo che riportano alla vita Con fotografie,
video e installazioni, con un occhio alle tradizioni e al folklore locale.
