Luciano
Bistoni was born in Rome and has been working in the IT field for
over 40 years. In 2012 he became interested in photography and
explored different photographic genres, trying to find the form of
expression that best fit his vision.
His
training ranges from workshops with international authors like Adam
Broomberg, Vanessa Winship, Julian Germain, Alec Soth, Aleix
Plademunt, Bertien Van Manen, Sophie Ristelhueber, Oscar Monzon e
David Campany, to the creation of dummies, for instance the one he
produced with Iolanda Cuomo and Sylvia Plachy at Officine
Fotografiche in Rome.
He
attended the International Photography Master held by Massimo
Mastrorillo and Pamela Piscicelli at DOOR Academy in Rome. He also
took part in the advanced documentary photography lab with Fausto
Podavini, as well as the course “Ethnography and Photography”
held by Marina Berardi, which focused on the Magliana neighbourhood
in Rome for 9 months.
He took
part in various group exhibitions, including “Anthropology applied
to photography” curated by Marina Berardi. Also, he took part in
the exhibition of the advanced
documentary photography lab held by Fausto Podavini at Wsp
Photography in Rome, as well as the Street Photography Exhibition
curated by Stefano Mirabella at Prospettiva 8 in Rome.
