"We
come from the past: myths, fairy tales and their heroes are our roots, they
told me from childhood". My works are the synthesis of different cultures
and popular traditions, in which to research and rework their heroes through
images of the ancient world, between mythology and folklore, in the immobility
of the passage of time.
The works
are in ceramics, in the continuous search for different forms, with the use of
clay molded exclusively by hand, voids inside, subjected to double cooking and
use of ceramic glazes. In some works the combination with other materials is
used, such as wood or glass. Some statues have also been designed as decorative
lamps and therefore combine the artistic image with the functionality of a real
lamp.
I
graduated in 2001 in "visual arts and technical drawing" at the State
Pedagogical University of Vitebsk (Belarus). In the same year I participated in
the National Competition in Minsk (Belarus) for University Students Neo
Graduates of all the National Art Colleges, ranking third.
I worked
from August 2000 to May 2004 at the “Gimnasium” Institute in Vitebsk (Belarus)
as a teacher of sculpture, painting and technical drawing, with particular
specialization in clay processing techniques.
Since 2004
I live and work in Italy.
In 2017 I acquired the title of Technician of Restoration of Cultural
Heritage (paintings, wood, stone and ceramic artifacts), after having attended
the three-year course at the "Enaip Veneto Center for Restoration Andrea
Mantegna" in Piazzola sul Brenta, Padua , Italy.
Occasionally I take part in ceramic art exhibitions and competitions (among
others: Finalist in the Exhibition of the International Ceramics Competition
Cica 2019, L’Alcora, Spain --- Personal Exhibition July 2019, Padua, Italy).
I occasionally hold lectures on clay and ceramic working techniques and
drawing and painting lessons.
