Gorupo is originally from the city of San Luis Potosí, since an early
age he was observant and analytical of his surrounding world and
discovered that through modeling he could shape his
ideas.
In 2010, he joined the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosí. Also from 2012 he served as professor of different plastic materials at the University, where he currently work.
It has been almost a decade dedicated year after year to the installation for the day of the dead in the courtyard of the Edificio Central of the UASLP.
Since 2010 is in charge of the realization of the awards sculptures at the Lila López International Dance Festival, also participating as a jury in the festival since 2014.
In 2010 he was selected by the Secretaria de Cultura del Estado to represent de San Luis Potosi within the Festival de la Calavera. The same year the Ayuntamiento de Soledad de Graciano Sanchez de S.L.P., gives him a distinction within the framework of the Dia Internacional de la Juventud for his contributions to culture in town. He has also received several awards from the Gobierno del Estado.
