Born in 1977 in Brasilia, Patricia is graduated in Visual Arts by the University of Brasilia. She participated of various workshops in bronze, resin and glass in Central Saint Martin´s College and Westminster in 1998/1999 . In 2006 she was granted a scholarship for Masters study, with a focus on the research of glass, in Joshibi Art and Design University, Kanagawa, Japan. During this period she participated in various exhibitions in the country, in the U.S, South Korea, and was granted a prize for her research in the University.
Through invitation, Patricia Bagniewski participated in an art residency in Fondazione Berengo in Murano, Venice, lasting 1 month in 2015. During this period, the artist had the opportunity of working with the world recognized glass master, Silvano Signoreto. Together they realized the installation "Home". In 2016 she returned to the island to complete and exhibit the installation in Fondazione Berengo. In 2019, she received a grant from the Secretary of Culture of Distrito Federal, together with the director Camilla Stefanini , founder of Un1dade, to produce a documentary about , Murano´s glass history and the artist´s work and production in Berengo Studio. The film was shown as an online Preview in 2021. Patricia also participated in the important exhibition "Unbreakable: Women in Glass" realized in Fondazione Berengo with more than 60 artist from around the world including artist like Judy Chicago and ORLAN.
