In my paintings, the unique control of my arm to place one pigmented oil next to the other while realizing almost perfect flat colors with no brush stroke, as if it were a graphic design, sets me apart from painting techniques today, I believe.
I only work with live models who I feel have a wonderful vulnerability.
This is intensified when the model poses nude.
When I paint abstracted landscapes, I use depth of land and its organic shapes and contrast them with strong geometric lines.
My paintings are born from my passion for humans, the world that surrounds all of us and the way color expresses what the outer lines show off.
The choices in line width and color scheme come uniquely from an inner “gut” feeling, that is felt in the moment I look at the subject or compose the frame.
