A self-taught artist, Amina Azreg began her career as a fashion designer that will lead her to painting. She creates this poetry of the gaze, imbued with mystery and memories, which shakes up our feelings. That right impression. The canvas is a journey towards past times, still present, perhaps. Torn between different emotions, between the real and the imaginary, it is Casablanca that is represented. Its colours and details that will make the dreamer smile. Caulked in interior universes, the symbolism of the city emerges, thus, figured in the paradox between what has been and what remains. Realism then merges into the strange and the disappearing. The artist accentuates certain lines in order to erase others, painting becoming the means of underlining and bringing back buried sensations.
