I am an artist and a designer. My artistic practice includes working for theatre and film productions and creating interdisciplinary performance projects through rigorous research. The fundamentals of my work are routed on the triptych of national identity, collective memory networks and tradition, as seen from the female perspective. I believe that space approached physically and theoretically allows one to work through different media. Each project conceptualizes and engages with symbolism on various issues, such as faith and its limits, homophobia, the notion of home, or the relationship between poetry and the urban space. Researchwise, I am interested in how site-based art could be used to preserve collective memory networks in danger, especially in formerly industrial cities. Also, I have worked on the interplay between precariat audiences and performance art and the relationship between the performance designer and the site since I believe that this relationship can function as the filter through which we can understand a performance designer's practice as one of a critical art practitioner's. I actively support collaborative and participatory working methods, as I believe we can stay relevant to today's audiences only through forming common grounds.
