Ermina Apostolaki is an artist and designer. She currently works for theatre and film productions. She has collaborated with Schaubühne, the Neos Kosmos Theatre, the National Theatre of Greece, the Piraeus Municipal Theatre and the Greek National Opera. She has worked for films that she has won awards in film festivals such as the Drama International Short Film Festival, the South-East European Film Festival, and the New York Film Awards. Her first solo performance, "Personal Jesus" was presented in 2013 in the Gemäldegalerie Berlin. In 2014, she was awarded a scholarship from the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw to participate in the SharedSpace:Weather workshop, co-organized by Prague Quadrennial 2015. Her performance "Flaw" was shown in the art centre Bios in Athens in 2016. In 2017, her work for the theatre plays "Don't forget to go home" and "The motherfucker with the hat" was presented in the World Stage Design Exhibition in the category of Emerging Designers. The same year, she was also awarded a scholarship from Goethe Institute to participate in the International Forum 2017, held during the Theatertreffen theatre festival. In 2018, she was awarded a scholarship from Art Department Masterclass to participate in the World Building masterclass. From 2017 to 2019, she was a scholar in the research program post-nostalgia:Design meets utopia, organized and funded by Vakalo Art and Design College. She realized her first sound installation "The resonance of the bazaar" in 2019 in the art centre Romantso in Athens. In 2019, she presented her co-research on performance art and precariat audiences in PQ Talks, organized by Prague Quadrennial. In 2020, she presented the sound game "Urban Songs" in the festival Dance Days Chania. Also, her installation "The Vocabulary of Violence" participated in the Athens Digital Festival 2021, her installation "Cartophilia" participated in the Athens Queer Archive Festival 2021. Her sound work "Citao" is part of Project Lazaretta. She is one of the Special Prizes winners of Arte Laguna Prize 15.
